I could not disagree more strongly with the assertion, made in a recent editorial, that adding a cover price to JICS - “in keeping with many of the leading medical journals” - will assist it in finding “a place… …in hospital and college libraries”. The reason that the leading medical journals are ubiquitousis because of their content, not because of any ‘perceived worth’ that is a function of their price…
